La Cittadella

It was truly a pleasant discovery "La Cittadella"!Nice place, excellent food and generous portions to say the least. In addition to being a clean place, meticulously cared for, the dishes it offers are prepared with high quality products and you can see this immediately. The staff is friendly and kind, the girl who served us is helpful and does everything to satisfy every need.You absolutely must try it!

Excellent restaurant, welcoming from the start. Courtesy and top service. Electronic menu but traditional Lucanian dishes that I would define as all zero kilometres. Starter of cured meats and cheeses, trofie with bran pepper and breadcrumbs, divine sliced with porcini mushrooms and a classic rocket and parmesan. All delicious and I underline tasty and excellent tender meat. Bitters from the cash register and coffee offered and what else to add....Location surrounded by nature with wonderful views. During our stay in San Severino Lucano, La Cittadella was our restaurant of choice! It has a fairly large car park and a truly fantastic view of the woods, plus all the tables are set with order and care. We were there for both lunch, with a fixed menu, and dinner, eating pizza and pinsa and it was all delicious. Generous in portions and friendly in service, they immediately won our liking, we will definitely be back! Keep it up

I can say that this restaurant is one of the best we have eaten visiting south of Italy. People were kind. Food very tasty, from pasta with porcini mushrooms and sausage, ragu pasta and meat - very juicy and well seasoned, salad, finishing with desert - we took the chocolate bomb - perfectly balanced.Generally if you are choosing from three restaurants on the road to the waterfall, don’t think twice and come to La Cittadella.

The welcoming atmosphere envelops you as soon as you cross the threshold of LA CITADELLA, and the extremely kind staff makes the experience even more pleasant. The pizzas are prepared with genuine ingredients, giving an authentic Lucanian flavour. Excellent choice of pizzas and doughs.I highly recommend this place for an authentic and hearty dining experience.

What to say? Spectacular day, confirmation celebrated at the Cittadella, not a hair was hanging! Reception of the birthday girl, with wonderful scenography, aperitif and buffet, created by chef Mariangela and staff! The buffet is not the usual one but with great attention to detail, unique dishes such as bamboo boats with grilled courgettes flavored with Pollino herbs, more precisely San Severino Lucano, mint and garlic, not to mention the cheeses, mini scamorza, mini ricottas and various pecorino cheeses; also present local cured meats, different appetizers, but the buffet adorned with Grand-hotel decorations; to talk about the first courses, stuffed tortelli on a bed of asparagus cream, second course of meat with orange cream, not to mention the fresh fruit, broken down with an iced basket, made with lemon slices and filled with lemon sorbet; the cake instead, a very tasty cheese-cake, with berries, a particular biscuit base, exquisite cream, prepared by the pastry chef Vincenzo Pepe; I can only thank the owners for having had an eye for the older grandparents, waited on hand and foot, impeccable service, waiter very attentive to what was missing on the table; At the next opportunity, we will be sure to return, thank you for everything!
